Troubleshooting Elastomers

Elastomers offer great product specifications and can be an excellent advantage in many cases, however they are not always the easiest to work with. Especially if you are unfamiliar with them. The table below demonstrates the most commonly experienced problems and what generally causes it.

In many cases something as simple as being off ratio – caused by uncalibrated scales, measuring by volume instead of weight or the material temperatures being different – can be the most harmful to your mix and cause a number of problems. We recommend analysing the chart, to see the common issues experienced to make sure you can avoid these problems from occurring as best as possible.
